Ceramics Victoria hosted the 2010 Australia Day celebrations in the gallery, whilst representative from the Association of Sculptors of Victoria

and Ceramics Victoria demonstrated their art in the courtyard.
Damien from Friends of Herring Island ran a tour showing people the permanent collection of sculpture and discussed the ongoing work of re-vegetating the island. There must have been in excess of three hundred people visiting on Australia Day but it wasn't crowded once you were on the island - a laid back Australian arts experience.
