Access to Herring Island Environmental Sculpture Park & Gallery is by Parks Victoria’s punt service which operates on weekends and on Australia Day from 11am to 5:00pm from the Como Landing (Melway Map 2M C2). There is a modest charge for the punt service - currently $2 for adults or $5 for families.
Como landing is at the foot of Williams Road South Yarra / Toorak where it runs into Alexandra Avenue. Once there - you can't miss the island - banners sponsored by Hocking Stuart (South Yarra) mark the pontoon landings on the Como side of Herring Island.
You can get to Herring Island by public transport - the 605 bus stops near the Alexandra Avenue - Williams Road corner.
Kanteen café is located close to the landing.
